In November 2023, Mya Ballin, with contributions from Joanne Evans and Jade Purtell, developed a submission for Real-Time Rights-Based Recordkeeping Governance in response to a call for submissions from Te Rua Mahara o te Kāwanatanga Archives New Zealand on their draft scope and definition of care records. A version of this definition was published in March 2024.
