The Find & Connect Support Services in each state or territory can help Care Leavers to access personalised support and counselling; where possible, obtain personal records, trace their history and understand why they were placed into care; connect with other services and support networks; and reconnect with family, where possible.

Link-Up Services assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of the Stolen Generations – those who have been fostered, adopted or raised in institutions under government policies of the time – to trace their families and be reunited with their families and communities.

CLAN is a support, advocacy, research and training network for people who grew up in Australian orphanages, children’s Homes, foster care and other institutions. CLAN offers free telephone and face to face (if in NSW or VIC) counselling, help to obtain your records, help to write your story and a bi-monthly newsletter containing all the latest information for Care Leavers.

A registered charity in both Australia and Britain, the Child Migrants Trust provides a range of social work services, including counselling and support for family reunions. CMT’s offices in Nottingham, UK as well as Perth and Melbourne in Australia also offer information, advice and family research to former child migrants and their families.

Connecting Home Limited was first registered in March 2010, to support survivors of the Stolen Generations across South Eastern Australia. They are an independent agency who works collaboratively across the Aboriginal and the broader Mainstream service sectors, to respond to the varied needs of the survivors, as identified by them.

In 2015, Connecting Home became the Head Office for the National Stolen Generations Alliance, which is the Peak body for agencies across Australia who support survivors of the Stolen Generations. This important additional role means that Connecting Home is now a key part of the National service system for survivors

CREATE Foundation is the national peak consumer body representing the voices of children and young people with an out-of-home care experience (including kinship care, foster care and residential care). They provide programs and services to children and young people with a statutory care experience and develop policy and research to advocate for a better care system.
